Описание: (A music fan -- Amazon.com) - I had heard only her eponymous debut once and I wanted to hear more. My next stop was the wonderful follow-up, Solitude Standing. I then bought this and realised that Suzanne Vega was more than Luka or Small Blue Thing. Although they are two of her best songs (of only the 32 I have heard), there is more to be heard. Her third album Days Of Open Hand offers only Book Of Dreams, but that is a fine pop song featuring Shawn Colvin on backing vocals for a second time. The four cuts from her 1992 album 99.9F (99.9F, Blood Makes Noise, In Liverpool, When Heroes Go Down) are great also. Blood Makes Noise and 99.9F (Ninety Nine Point Nine Fahrenheit Degrees) have a more dance approach than usual (probably due to the DNA remix of her classic a cappella Tom's Diner). However, When Heroes Go Down (a rushed song if there ever was one) could have been replaced by something more falling into the album title's category. From her 1996 record Nine Objects Of Desire, there is the jazzy Caramel, and the more 90s folk rock moments of No Cheap Thrill and World Before Columbus. Plus, there is her 1986 non-studio affair with Joe Jackson (Left Of Center) and two new tracks (Book And A Cover, Rosemary). The final two tracks show that Suzanne Vega is certainly not slowing down, maybe even growing into a better artist than ever before.
